The Commission of a piece of sculpted furniture is unique to the needs of each customer. As guidance the commissioning process typically follows these steps:
- I visit the customer to meet them and get a feel for their space or alternately the customer visits the workshop to meet me and view and discuss examples of my work.
- From this meeting a working brief can be written deciphering dimensions, materials, time scale and pricing.
- Then various sketches are made to present to the customer.
- On approval of a design and price a contract agreement is made.
- Finally the piece of furniture is made and delivered.
Once the commission begins the customer is invited to periodically view the work in progress through to completion. This can be done through actual visits to the workshop or through images of the work at different stages being emailed to the customer, or indeed both options.
